Before your visit, we’ll request records and any prior diagnostics from your veterinarian, and ask you to complete a New Patient Questionnaire. Your doctor reviews everything in advance so your time in the appointment is focused and meaningful.

During your one-hour consultation, we perform a thorough, fear-free evaluation using positive reinforcement and treats (if tolerated). This may include orthopedic, neurologic, soft tissue, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) assessments to better understand your pet’s condition and areas of concern.

We’ll review our findings together, discuss any recommended diagnostics (such as functional lab work, x-rays or musculoskeletal ultrasound), and create a personalized treatment plan. If appropriate, we may begin treatment the same day and guide you through techniques you can continue at home.

Follow-up visits are typically 45 minutes and are tailored to your pet’s needs and progress. Our goal is to work alongside you to create a plan that supports long-term comfort, mobility, and quality of life.

Physical rehabilitation is a form of veterinary medicine that uses targeted therapeutic exercises, hands-on therapies, and supportive modalities to help your animal move and feel better. The goal is to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function—whether recovering from injury or surgery, managing arthritis, or simply supporting long-term comfort and quality of life.

Rehabilitation can benefit a wide range of conditions, including arthritis, soft tissue injuries (such as ligament or tendon injuries), post-surgical recovery, neurologic conditions, and general mobility or performance concerns. While these are some of the most common reasons pets come to us, a diagnosis is not required before your visit. Our thorough exam and on-site diagnostics, including x-rays and musculoskeletal ultrasound, help us identify the root cause and create a targeted treatment plan.

Modalities are types of treatments designed to reduce pain and inflammation, improve circulation, support healing, and strengthen the body. These include photobiomodulation (laser therapy), acupuncture and electroacupuncture, shockwave therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, TECAR therapy, Dolphin Neurostim, hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill), and land-based therapeutic exercise. Your doctor will recommend specific modalities based on your pet’s individual condition and needs.

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine can support a wide range of conditions by helping restore balance within the body. It is commonly used for musculoskeletal issues such as osteoarthritis, intervertebral disc disease, and nerve injuries, as well as internal medicine conditions including gastrointestinal, liver, kidney, and endocrine disorders (such as Cushing’s disease).

TCVM can also be helpful for cancer support, respiratory conditions like feline asthma, and chronic skin issues such as lick granulomas and allergic dermatitis. Many pets benefit from TCVM alongside conventional care, especially when looking for a more comprehensive, whole-body approach.

We offer advanced functional medicine testing to better understand your pet’s health at a deeper level. These diagnostics may include microbiome testing, vitamin and mineral analysis, and specialized lab work to assess inflammation, immune function, and overall metabolic health.

These tests help us look beyond symptoms to identify underlying imbalances that may be contributing to your pet’s condition. This allows us to create a more targeted, individualized treatment plan that supports long-term health and healing.
